Action: This 10-acre site lay dormant for over 90 years.  The site was valued at $0.00, and was impacted by pesticides from a spill from an adjacent property as well as being filled by petroleum impacted street sweepings. RER acquired the property and worked closely with the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association to create a state of the art industrial building that complied with the neighborhood plan.  MPCA approved cleanup of Site results in full liability protections for developer, lenders and tenants.
 
 
Outcome:
  • 128,800 SF Office Warehouse completed in 2006
  • Tax Base increase of over $6 million
  • Will generate annual property taxes of $300,000 per year
  • Awarded 2006 NAIOP Award of Excellence
  • Awarded 2006 Business Journal Award
